EQUINE FACILIATED LEARNING (EFL)
A unique and bespoke learning opportunity for individuals, teams, organisations, youth groups, schools etc.
EFL is a highly effective tool in Leadership development, as our programmes will encourage participants to explore and experiment with Emotional Intelligence (EI), i.e. Self Awareness, Self Regulation, Empathy, Motivation & Social Skills. It supports building (or rebuilding) confidence and provides plenty of space for reflection.
Participants will have an opportunity to explore different approaches to problem solving in a non-judgemental environment.
Unlike people, horses do not pre-judge us by our looks, clothes, social status or a position we may hold, but interact with and respond to us based on what’s happening ‘in the moment’ – right now, right here. Horses perfectly mirror our attitude and energy levels; are able to accurately read our body language and discern our intentions towards them, making them ideal partners to provide the participant with instant, honest feedback on their performance.
These sessions do not require any previous equestrian experience and do not involve any riding. All interactions with the horses are on the ground and under supervision by our senior facilitator Bea Simpson who is highly
experienced and qualified in handling and managing horses.
All our workshops will be facilitated at a lovely West-London based venue with close transport links to the M4, M25 & M40/A40: Goulds Green Riding School (www.gouldsgreenridingschool.co.uk).
Sessions are available on a one-to-one or group basis, depending on your individual requirements and intended learning outcomes.
